People often assume that a door with a diamond grille or cast panel is classed as a security door. We classify these doors as safety/barrier doors as they don’t truly offer any security. An intruder can push through the mesh to get to the inside lock because a security mesh cannot be used in these doors.
In our opinion, a security door is a door with a triple lock that engages at the top, handle and bottom when the key is used. It also has high quality mesh that meets Australian Standards AS 5039-2008
